LimbPower launch new fitness and wellbeing resources

Monday 30th March 2020

National Disability Sport Organisation LimbPower has launched a number of new resources to compliment the existing online resources to support amputees and people with limb difference to stay fit and healthy at home. Staying active and supporting our physical and mental health during this period of self-isolation is vital for our wellbeing.

LimbPower recognise the need for impairment specific resources designed for our community. All of LimbPower’s resources have been developed with coaches and healthcare professionals with a special interest in working with amputees and individuals with limb difference and have been designed specifically with our community participants in mind.

Their resources compliment Sport England’s national ‘Join The Movement’ campaign which evolved following the restrictions imposed during the Coronavirus pandemic, and uses the hashtag #StayInWorkOut. The campaign has proved extremely popular and includes content providers such as Les Mills on Demand and Joe Wicks (The Body Coach).

The new resources from LimbPower can be found in their newly created Facebook Groups LimbPower Stay In Stay Active and LimbPower Juniors Stay In Stay Active, and on the LimbPower website here.

They are encouraging their community members to join in and to share what they are doing at home to encourage others, using the hashtag #LimbPowerShare and the Sport England hashtag #StayInWorkOut.
