Meet Louise
Louise Stockdale is a Sustainability professional, with experience working within both public and private sectors including 15 years within the NHS spanning both primary and secondary care settings. Louise holds an MSc in Environmental Management and is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
Currently the Head of Transformation and Sustainability at University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM), Louise leads programmes that delivers sustainable health and care systems. This includes the delivery of net zero carbon, social value, estates and facilities transformation and cost improvement. Her passion is understanding the interrelationship between health and the environment to improve population health and wellbeing through a proactive approach on prevention, patient self-care, and lean and low-carbon healthcare practices.
Louise has secured major grant funded investment to decarbonise the public estate and has led award-winning, innovative schemes across the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System. Her work focuses on practical, partnership-led approaches that connect environmental sustainability with population health and reduced inequalities.
When Louise isn’t working, she can be found enjoying the outdoors with her young family, walking, cycling and travelling.
