Marching for Mothers | World Maternal Mental Health Day 2026
Mothers, professionals and community organisations came together across Newcastle-under-Lyme and Burton-upon-Trent for our Marching for Mothers community walks, delivered in partnership with Sport in Mind and Postpartum Support International as part of World Maternal Mental Health Day. The walks created space for open conversations around maternal mental health, identity, movement and connection, while highlighting the importance of support that better reflects the realities and complexities of motherhood.
Safer Spaces, Stronger Minds Conference | March 2026
65 professionals from across sport, leisure and wellbeing came together for the first Safer Spaces, Stronger Minds Conference, delivered in partnership with Active Derbyshire. The event created space for shared learning, reflection and practical discussion, strengthening approaches to safeguarding, welfare and the prevention of violence against women and girls across the sector.
This Mum Moves Ambassador Training | February 2026
22 professionals from family hubs, supported accommodation, women’s refuges and health services completed the This Mum Moves Ambassador training, delivered in partnership with the Active Pregnancy Foundation and the Institute of Health Visiting, strengthening local support for women to be active during pregnancy and after childbirth.
Boccia Leaders Programme | February 2026
79 children and young people were trained as Boccia Leaders after being identified by their schools as pupils who would benefit from increased confidence, responsibility, and positive engagement. They will now lead inclusive Boccia activities and deliver events for local primary schools.
Winter Olympics | February 2026
4 Winter Olympics–inspired events were delivered in partnership with Virtual Schools, introducing looked after children to new activities while building confidence, resilience, and positive experiences through inclusive physical activity.
Limitless Festival | October 2025
56 young people with SEND from five schools across Tamworth, Burton, and Cannock explored a range of inclusive activities including Boccia, Pickleball, Drumba, Kin-ball, and Archery. Schools were connected with NGBs and local providers to build sustainable community links.
