Join our team as a HR Admin Officer

Location: Hybrid (between our office, at home and across Staffordshire)
Hours: Part-Time, 16 hours per week
Salary: £28,000 ETE pro rata (£14,000 actual salary)

Do you believe how we support our team is just as important as the work we do?

At Together Active, we want everyone who works with us to feel respected, valued and supported. Creating that kind of workplace takes more than good intentions; it needs strong foundations, thoughtful processes and great support behind the scenes.

While some of our roles work directly with communities, others create the foundations that enable our organisation and our team to thrive. Our HR Admin Officer will play an important part in making sure our team has the support, structures and positive employee experience they need to do their best work.

From supporting recruitment and welcoming new starters to keeping our HR processes running smoothly, you’ll help make sure our people feel supported throughout their time with Together Active.

We’re looking for an HR Admin Officer to join our growing team.

About the Role

As our HR Admin Officer, you’ll provide efficient, accurate and confidential HR administration across the employee and volunteer lifecycle.

From supporting recruitment and welcoming new starters to maintaining HR records, completing pre-employment checks and responding to day-to-day HR queries, you’ll help make sure our people processes run smoothly and consistently.

You’ll also provide administrative support to our Board and committees, helping to coordinate meetings, prepare papers and keep important governance records organised and up to date.

This is a varied part-time role where attention to detail really matters. You’ll have the freedom to organise your work in a way that works for you, with support from your line manager and a collaborative team around you.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience providing high-quality administrative support in a busy environment
  • Are highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in keeping accurate records
  • Can handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Are confident using Microsoft Office and maintaining databases or management systems
  • Communicate clearly and enjoy building positive working relationships
  • Can work independently, take ownership of tasks and contribute positively as part of a team
  • Share our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and our values of collaboration, compassion, creativity and inclusion

Previous experience in HR, recruitment administration or a people support role would be brilliant, but it isn’t essential. Experience of onboarding and offboarding, HR systems, governance support or a CIPD Level 3 qualification would also be welcomed.

If you’re someone who enjoys making things run smoothly, cares about getting the details right and wants to play an important part in creating a great experience for our people, we’d love to hear from you.

No single background is necessarily ‘the right one’, so please don’t rule yourself out without a conversation.
