Together Active would like to extend our sincere thanks to Carly Jones, who stepped down from her role as Chief Executive in August after more than four years with the organisation.
Carly joined Together Active in July 2022 and has made a significant contribution to the organisation during her time as Chief Executive. Her bold leadership, fresh thinking and determination to challenge the status quo have helped shape our direction and strengthen our focus on tackling the inequalities that prevent people from being active.
She has championed the importance of listening to communities, understanding lived experience and working alongside partners to create meaningful, long-term change across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
Under Carly’s leadership, Together Active has also strengthened its role as a strategic partner, bringing people and organisations together and influencing local systems.
Carly brought this same values-led approach to the way Together Active works internally. A key part of her legacy is our Happiness Manifesto and the trailblazing approach she championed to staff wellbeing. This was backed by meaningful changes to the way we work, including our move to a four-day working week, giving staff more time outside of work to rest, be active and enjoy a better balance.
We are incredibly grateful for Carly’s dedication, passion and leadership over the past four years, and for the lasting contribution she has made to Together Active.
We wish her every success and happiness in her next chapter.
