Meet Claire
Claire Rowcliffe is a British charity executive and fundraising leader with extensive leadership experience across the third sector, particularly in income generation, strategic engagement, and organisational governance. She has held senior roles in major UK charities and is active in governance, advocacy, and sector leadership.
Claire is currently Executive Director at Blind Veterans UK, a national charity supporting vision-impaired ex-service personnel, having joined the senior leadership team in mid-2024.
She has also been Executive Director of Fundraising at People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA), the UK’s leading veterinary welfare charity, providing free and low-cost treatment for sick animals.
Claire contributes to governance and trustee leadership within the charity sector. She serves on boards and committees that support organisational governance, sector collaboration, and strategy. She is currently Chair at Staffordshire Women’s Aid, which provides refuge and support for women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence.
Claire’s work spans strategic fundraising, supporter engagement, governance leadership, and advocacy for vulnerable groups from veterans to women and children affected by violence. Her leadership roles combine operational expertise with a commitment to social impact and organisational sustainability.
