Our Impact

We are on a mission to design out inactivity across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. By working alongside partners, communities, and system leaders, we are creating active places and healthier lives through physical activity and sport.

Here’s a snapshot of the impact we’ve made so far this year.

A workforce development programme equipping professionals to confidently support women to be active during pregnancy and after childbirth. Delivered in partnership with the Active Pregnancy Foundation and the Institute of Health Visiting, this half-day This Mum Moves Ambassador training builds the knowledge, skills and confidence to discuss physical activity, provide guidance and signposting, and champion active lifestyles for pregnant and postnatal women. Using a cascade model, ambassadors will share learning within their organisations, extending reach and impact, with ongoing support from Together Active to embed learning locally.
A programme designed to upskill primary and secondary school pupils to become Boccia Leaders, building confidence, responsibility, and leadership through inclusive sport. Students were selected by the school’s PE lead to take part in the training, with a focus on supporting young people who would benefit from increased responsibility, confidence, and positive engagement during the school day. The newly trained leaders will deliver a Boccia event for four local feeder primary schools, creating inclusive activity opportunities while putting their leadership skills into practice.
A Winter-inspired programme delivered in partnership with Virtual Schools, supporting looked after children to build confidence, resilience and positive experiences through inclusive physical activity. Designed around the excitement of the Winter Olympics, it introduces new activities many young people may not otherwise access, helping to develop self-belief and enjoyment of movement.
