Inclusion

Our Commitment

“The Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent County Sports Partnership is committed to working proactively to ensure access to sport across the County for anyone, regardless of individual circumstance or background. Together Active is fully committed to the principles of equal opportunities and will work towards eliminating unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation”.

SASSOT’s Equality Policy 2018

The Equality Standard For Sport

Together Active has achieved the Foundation and Preliminary of the Equality standard.

The Equality Standard is a framework and vehicle for widening access and increasing the participation and involvement in sport and physical activity from under represented individuals, groups and communities, especially women and girls, ethnic minority groups and disabled people. It will assist sports organisations in developing equality-proofed policies, structures and processes and will allow for performance to be assessed, ensuring continuous improvement in equality (Sport England).

We are dedicated to demonstrating a strong and public commitment to progressing towards achieving gender parity and greater diversity as an organisation. To that end, we have developed our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Framework, in collaboration with partners across the region, to ensure we put an inclusive culture at the heart of everything we do.
