Together Active has launched the search for its next Chief Executive at a pivotal point in the organisation’s future.
With a new Chair also set to join the organisation and the next Sport England investment period approaching, the next Chief Executive will have a unique opportunity to help shape Together Active’s next phase at an important moment of change.
The new Chief Executive will provide strategic and organisational leadership while strengthening Together Active’s role as a trusted convener across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
Lottie Smith, Interim CEO at Together Active, said:
“This is a really exciting moment for Together Active and for whoever takes on this role. We have a strong team, trusted partnerships and a huge opportunity ahead of us to think ambitiously about the difference we can make across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.”
Together Active works across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to make it easier for people to be active in ways that fit their lives.
Our work focuses on the systems that shape who gets included and who doesn’t, looking beyond individual behaviours to understand how policy, funding, culture and place influence people’s choices, freedoms and access to movement.
We connect people, influence decision-makers and work across local government, health, education, sport, leisure and the voluntary and community sector to help create meaningful place-based change.
Lottie added:
“Our next Chief Executive will have the chance to shape where we go next, bringing people together across different sectors, strengthening our influence and making sure physical activity is recognised as part of the solution to some of the wider challenges facing our communities. We’re looking for someone who can lead through change, build genuine relationships and bring people with them. Someone who understands the power of partnership and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of Together Active.”
We’re looking for an experienced, inclusive and emotionally intelligent leader with a strong understanding of partnership and system leadership.
The role is full-time, 32 hours over four days per week, with a salary of £65,000–£70,000 and hybrid working between our office, at home and across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
If you’re excited by the opportunity to lead through change, strengthen partnerships and help shape Together Active’s future, we’d love to hear from you.
