In August 2013, SASSOT ran its first Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership. The group are now volunteering in local youth centres, dance schools and performing arts academies.

There were also a number of Sports Leaders Level 1 courses that ran and the young people are now out in the community at various venues assisting with sports sessions. Venues include local leisure centres, youth centres and local sports clubs.
