“The Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent County Sports Partnership is committed to working proactively to ensure access to sport across the County for anyone, regardless of individual circumstance or background. Together Active is fully committed to the principles of equal opportunities and will work towards eliminating unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation”.
Together Active has achieved the Foundation and Preliminary of the Equality standard.
The Equality Standard is a framework and vehicle for widening access and increasing the participation and involvement in sport and physical activity from under represented individuals, groups and communities, especially women and girls, ethnic minority groups and disabled people. It will assist sports organisations in developing equality-proofed policies, structures and processes and will allow for performance to be assessed, ensuring continuous improvement in equality (Sport England).

We are dedicated to demonstrating a strong and public commitment to progressing towards achieving gender parity and greater diversity as an organisation. To that end, we have developed our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Framework, in collaboration with partners across the region, to ensure we put an inclusive culture at the heart of everything we do.

In line with our commitment to fostering equality, diversity, and inclusion in physical activity, we are excited to introduce our comprehensive delivery plan.
This plan serves as a roadmap to implement our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Framework, outlining specific actions and initiatives to enhance accessibility and participation in physical activity for underrepresented individuals and communities.
We have set clear goals to guide our efforts, emphasising the importance of transparency and accountability in promoting an inclusive culture.
