Child Protection
As the lead strategic organisation for sport and physical activity in Staffordshire, Together Active is committed to ensuring that all young people are able to participate and enjoy all forms of sport and physical activity in a safe and supportive environment.
Working with key local statutory agencies and the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) Together Active will encourage and support all its Partner organisations to fulfil their safeguarding and child protection responsibilities through implementing their own policies and procedures.
The pages posted here provide up to date information on the safeguarding in sport work Together Active is undertaking. Information on child protection training will also be posted here along with child protection resources to help clubs, coaches and other sports professionals. Finally there is a copy of the Partnerships child protection policy that provides good practice guidelines and procedures for those working with children in sport.
You will also find guidelines on what to do if you have concerns about the welfare of a child.
