Inclusion
Inclusion is a theme which runs across the five School Games outcomes. We believe all young people should be supported and encouraged to take part in physical activity and / or competition, whether as a participant or through leadership and volunteering.
Below are two resources to help you embed inclusion into your PE and School Sport delivery.
Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Inclusion Resource
The resource features simple adaptable ideas for delivery of 60 active minutes for all ages and abilities. These ideas allow the school users to create psychological and physiological fitness opportunities at home, in school classroom, hall or outdoors.
All activities are appropriate for those most negatively impacted by Covid. They are appropriate for secondary engagement with adaptations and Year 7/8 transition as participants or leaders.
This offers the perfect opportunity to incorporate the ideas in the resource into virtual and practical leadership training and roles, and it feature simple formats for the delivery of 11 sports.

Step into Sport Workbook 2022 – Inclusive Youth Leadership Resource
A national resource to run your own leadership course on your school site. Develop leadership skills in young people aged 12 to 19 who may already be experienced in leading and volunteering or have no previous experience. Content appropriate for sporty, semi sporty, least active or SEND students.
Duration: 6 hours, delivered flexibly in one day, two half days or 6 x 1-hour sessions.
On completion and with evidence from the supervising teacher, a county certificate will be awarded.
