OVO Energy Women’s Tour, stage two, Thursday 8 June 2017

The world’s top female cyclists will arrive in Staffordshire for stage two of the OVO Energy Women’s Tour, a round of the UCI Women’s World Tour, on Thursday 8 June.  Stage two will start in Stoke on Trent city centre at 11.00 and pass through Stafford Borough from 11.15 including Meir Heath, Stone, Great Bridgeford, Seighford, Derrington, then head towards Stafford on the Newport Road, passing Victoria Park at about 12.00, before heading out on the Lichfield Road and Cannock Road towards Cannock Chase.

A rolling road closure will be in place, which means the roads around the circuit will be closed for the short period in which it takes the race to pass by – usually about 10-15 minutes, the Police escort vehicles and motorcyclists will coordinate these closures.

This event is organised by SweetSpot an events organiser and marketing company behind the Tour of Britain and is being supported by Staffordshire County Council.
