England Athletics- Nominate your Official of the Year in our 2017 Volunteer Awards!

Tuesday 18th July 2017

It is now our 10th year of volunteer awards!  That’s 10 years of celebrating the outstanding contribution the volunteers across England give, to make our sport happen.

There are so many fantastic officials across England, who regularly commit their time to Athletics and Running. This is your opportunity to recognise these everyday heroes!

Do you know someone who is;

  • a UKA licensed official, regularly officiating in their local or wider area to a high standard?
  • supporting and encouraging other officials in their area?
  • undertaking officiating duties in an enthusiastic and positive manner?
  • helping to encourage new officials to get involved in their area or further afield?
  • overcoming personal barriers and/or demonstrating personal growth through volunteering?
  • engaging with, and providing opportunities for under-represented groups (which could include people with low incomes, people from ethnically diverse communities, women and individuals with a disability or within certain faith groups)?

If so, make someone’s day and let them know how much their support means to you and the sport!  Volunteer Award Nominations are made by Region, with regional winners then eligible for the National award.

How do I nominate?

It’s really simple to make your nomination, just complete the nomination form and tell us why your nominee should win. Please make sure you have read the criteria and category information first.

The closing date for nominations is on Sunday 6th August.
