Social Media & Digital Marketing Apprentice
Full-time / temporary – £7,000

Sport Across Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent (SASSOT) have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated individual who has a passion for social media and online marketing. The successful applicant will take on the apprentice role working alongside our Communications Manager and team and will be responsible for supporting our social media and marketing activities.

SASSOT is a successful and well respected County Sports Partnership who work with partner agencies to create active places and healthy lives through sport and physical activity.

The apprentice will be required to undertake a training programme working towards the Level 3 Award in Digital Marketing (City and Guilds) and complete Functional Skills qualifications (if required in Maths and English). Full training and support will be provided.

What you will be doing:

  • You’ll be creating and co-ordinating website content and updates
  • You’ll be managing SASSOT’s social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and other relevant platforms
  • You’ll be creating content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on SASSOT’s sites, and encourages audience participation
  • You’ll be creating engaging written, graphic, and video content
  • You’ll be using scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction whilst analysing and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits
  • You’ll be a valuable member of the team who supports the development of specific social media campaigns
  • You’ll be using digital reporting tools (e.g. Google Analytics, MailChimp, Twitter Analytics etc)
  • You’ll be understanding and interpreting audience engagement to assess the success and impact of our social media and website content
  • You’ll be creating new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • You’ll be collating content and distributing e-newsletters
  • You’ll be developing SASSOT’s YouTube channel by creating engaging video content that highlights the range of SASSOT’s work and the project that we are engaged in

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • You are creative and social media savvy
  • You have excellent attention to detail with the ability to work to all set deadlines
  • You have good organisational skills and ability to manage a number of tasks at the same time
  • You are pro-active and self-motivated
  • You have good technology and graphic design

Minimum age is 16 years. There is no upper age limit.
