Open Badminton Championships – Volunteering Opportunities

Thursday 15th February 2018

Badminton England currently have volunteering opportunities at the YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships which is taking place from March 14th-18th at the Arena Birmingham. The YONEX All England is the world’s oldest and most prestigious badminton tournament and, as of 2018, the YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships has been selected by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) as one of only three top tier tournaments on its new six-level world tour.

To celebrate this tremendous achievement they’ve expanded the concourse to enhance the event even further which means there’s more opportunities available to give more people the chance to get involved.

They are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals (or groups) to help them run the popular activations on the concourse and for the last mile leading up to the arena. All volunteers will receive exclusive access to the event, can watch the competition during their down times and will be provided with meal vouchers and clothing which they can keep afterwards.

Find information on the two types of volunteer roles we’re looking for here and here.

Volunteers play a crucial role in the successful delivery of the YONEX All England Open; their friendly faces capture the passion and excitement of the event, and their focus and dedication make it a welcoming and compelling event for all involved. You will need to be over 18 years old. In exceptional circumstances, we may accept groups aged 16 or over when accompanied by an adult. For more information visit the website.
