Every month 5.6 million people volunteer in sport and physical activity in England, which we think is amazing! These incredible people are the life and soul of community sports clubs and it is important that they receive the support they deserve.

This year UK Coaching will publish four literature reviews focusing on some key topic areas for coaching. The first in this series, this literature review focuses on low socio-economic groups. If we are to help increase participation rates amongst young disabled people, it is important that Doorstep Sport Clubs look to consider this key target group within their sporting offer and promote inclusion within their sessions. StreetGames has developed a factsheet which provides insights and learning on how to engage young disabled people in sport and physical activity. Transforming the Trent Valley – Visitor Survey
Transforming the Trent Valley is a HLF funded partnership of organisations looking to enhance and celebrate the Trent Valley between Uttoxeter, Tamworth and Derby.
We would like you to help us learn more about how you use and enjoy the Trent Valley and if you don’t, why this is. Please complete this survey to tell us about your experiences. The FA Girls’ Football Festival in association with Continental Tyres visits Staffordshire
Girls from across the county descended on Northwood Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent to take part in a free FA Girls’ Football Festival this week, aimed at increasing and retaining girls’ participation in the game.
Girls aged between five and 16 years from various schools within Staffordshire were invited to test their skills in a range of activities combining football, fun and music. The festivals are a joint initiative by The FA and Continental Tyres, providing an exciting, interactive football experience for both those new to the game and regular players. Read more….
