Funding Opportunities – Disability Football Delivery

Three new funding pots are now available to apply for to support with the delivery of recreational sessions across disability football in the county. The three funding pots are:

Ladies Only Disability Turn Up & Play Sessions (Adults)

We are looking to engage more females into the disability game across Staffordshire by providing more female only opportunities within the local area for ladies to get involved with in a fun, friendly environment exclusively for ladies. We are looking to support clubs/ organisations/ groups with a grant of £300 to deliver Turn Up & Play female disability football sessions within the county. You may want to consider running a female session that runs at the same time as your male club training and encourage partners, mums, and friends to get involved.

Limited grants are available & the deadline to submit your application is Wednesday 6th December 2017. You will then be notified shortly after this date if your application has been successful. Find the overview and application form here.

Wellbeing Turn Up & Play Sessions (Adults)

We are looking to support clubs/ organisations with a grant of £300 to deliver Turn Up & Play wellbeing football sessions to support individuals who are affected by mental health issues. The aim is to support and promote the many benefits of physical activity on our wellbeing including improved mood, decreased chance of depression and anxiety, and a better and more balanced lifestyle by providing regular active opportunities.

SSE Wildcats Girls Football Centre (Youth 5 to 11) Wild cats

You may want to consider this as an opportunity to engage more girls within your clubs whether this is a girls disability specific football centre or a wider female application with disability as part of the girls centre.
