Funding

 

Sport England’s new fund to help Storm Ciara victims

Amount available: Up to £5,000

Deadline: Unspecified

Suitable for: Organisations with facilities, pitches etc.

Description: Storm damaged pitches and facilities could be back in use sooner than expected thanks to Sport England’s new emergency flood relief fund. The grants could typically be used to restore grass pitches, to repair and decontaminate flood or wind-damaged clubhouses, replace damaged electrical systems or dredge blocked drains.

 

England Rugby Families Fund Project

Amount available: C£11.5k (roughly 1/2 days a week for the duration of the project March 2021) with additional reasonable expenses.

Deadline: 19th February 2020

Suitable for: Sports Clubs, Charities and Community Organisations

Description: The England Rugby Families Fund Project is looking for ‘Local Experts’ who offer a community service link and/or rugby club link to partner with to deliver on seven new sites. The project will find innovative ways to engage with teenage young people from lower socio-economic communities and their families, and provide opportunities for them all to become active through the rugby club.

 

This Girl Can Community Fund

Amount available: Various – based on need and merit

Deadline: Tuesday 25th February 2020

Suitable for: not-for-profit organisations, voluntary or community clubs, registered charities, community interest companies, and more (please follow the link in the title to find out more)

Description: This Girl Can invite you to share your ideas of how to get more local women more active. They welcome ideas with a short-term focus as well as those which will provide longer-term support to help women achieve sustainable behaviour change.

 

BBC Children in Need – Small Grants

Amount available: Up to £30,000 over 3 years – up to £10,000 a year

Deadline: Monday 16th March 2020

Suitable for: Charities and Non-for-profit organisations

Description: BBC Children in Need’s vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential. To work towards this objective, BBC Children in Need are welcoming applications from charities and non-for-profit organisations for projects that help better the lives of children who need it most; ranging from illness and disabilities to behavioural difficulties and significant deprivation.

 

BBC Children in Need – Main Grants

Amount available: Over £10,000 per year

Deadline: Monday 4th May 2020

Suitable for: Charities and Non-for-profit organisations

Description: BBC Children in Need’s vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential. To work towards this objective, BBC Children in Need are welcoming applications from charities and non-for-profit organisations for projects that help better the lives of children who need it most; ranging from illness and disabilities to behavioural difficulties and significant deprivation.
