Tuesday 14th November 2017

The Borough of Newcastle under Lyme is home to a wide range of sporting clubs, events, and activities and want to encourage even more people to get involved in these by taking part in the Festival of Sport during April and May 2018. The Festival of Sport will link into the County Sports Partnership’s county wide event ‘Move More in May’.Newcastle festival of sport

As part of The Festival of Sport we are offering sports clubs and organisations within the Borough an opportunity to get involved in the festival by staging an event or activity at the club premises that is open to the community to come along and ‘have a go’. This can be in the form of a taster session, coaching session, fun session etc.

We are inviting interested clubs/organisations to apply for a grant of up to £400 to assist in organising and running events/activities that will be run under The Festival of Sport banner. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to promote your club, sport and facility to the local community and potentially attract new members.
