Staffordshire Schools Table Tennis 2018 round up

Under new organisers this year’s County Team and Individual championships have started off well under the guidance from Clayton Hall Academy and their staff/helpers. In the Autumn term St Dominic’s (Stone) took the U13 and U11 team crowns whilst in the boys event John Taylor High (Burton) took both the U13 and U16 boys events. Following a successful year at the Individual County Championship here is a round up of the winners and runners up from this years event.

Girls finals

In the U11 Girls Nira Perumal (NUL school) beat Daisy Garfield (St Doms)
In the U13 Girls Caitlyn Disley defeated team mate Lydia Goodfellow (St Doms)
In the U16 Girls Molly Hancock (St Margaret Ward) defeated Hannah Ellis (St Doms)
In the U19 Girls Lucie Hancock lifted the title beating Zoe Sterling

Boys Finals

In the U11 Boys Toby Fletcher (Codsall) beat Charlie Shenton (Werrington primary)
In the U13 boys Sahil Khan (Coop Accademy) defeated Aiden Joubert (John Taylor High)
In the U16 boys event Ben McHoul (John Taylor) saw off Lewis Clarke (St Joes)
In the U19 boys Jack Williams defeated team mate Jordan Ibinson (Ormiston Horizon Tunstall)

A huge thank you to all the participants with over 70 entries across the two days staged to hold the finals. Thank you to all the schools, players and staff who supported the event and good luck to all the winners who now go on to the National Finals to be held Saturday 21st April in Wolverhampton.
