Family Fun Day

On Sunday 20th March 2016 at Penkridge Leisure Centre young disabled children and their family and friends were invited to attend the Easter Ability Fun Day where they could take part in a range of activities including football, basketball, table tennis and badminton. Face painter Lisa Tiso also created some amazing designs for our young children and adults too.

Jenny Masterman and her team came along to deliver some trampolining which was a great activity for building skills and confidence in a short amount of time and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Jake Woolley receiving certificate

Jake Wooley, who was reintroduced to sports and activities at the family fun day was awarded with a British Gymnastics Trampoline Proficiency Award Level 3 after impressing the coach with what he could already do and continuing to excel throughout the session.

To end the session, families were able to make the most of the swimming pool which had been booked out for the session. This gave them the opportunity to swim, splash and play. Amongst all the energy, one lucky attendee won a £20 gift voucher which was a fantastic end to a fun filled day.
