ACCESS Across Staffordshire Fund Open For Applications

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent County Sports Partnership is committed to working proactively to ensure access to sport across the County for anyone, regardless of individual circumstance or background. We recognise the diversity of our community and accept that we may have to be more pro active and put additional resources into engaging with individuals and groups who have not traditionally accessed sport and physical activity.

‘ACCESS Across Staffordshire’ funding scheme has been established to encourage and support the development of new projects that particularly target under-represented groups. This round of funding will make grants of up to £2,000 available however projects will be require to provide 30% match funding (cash or in-kind) of the total project costs.

The ACCESS Across Staffordshire funding is for new projects that engage one or more of the priority groups listed below:

  • Women & Girls (Linking into the values of the ~ThisGirlCan campaign)
  • Disabled People (In particular adult disability provision)
  • Black Minority Ethnic Communities
  • People aged 55+ (Providing targeted activities, using local insight to establish preferred activities)

SASSOT logoThe ‘ACCESS Across Staffordshire Fund’ is open to Local Authorities, National Governing Bodies of Sport, schools, other relevant agencies and not-for-profit organisations. The fund provides financial assistance for new projects which supports the priority group above and fits into at least two of the following categories:

  1. Increasing and retaining participation
  2. Tackling Wider Social Issues
  3. Maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle
