Stafford & Stone Canoe Club’s support spurs on Joe Clarke

Thursday 28th July 2016

Stafford and Stone paddlers have been hard at work producing a good luck banner for Joe Clarke.

Go Joe Clark

Members wanted to do something to show how much they support Joe Clarke who is representing Team GB at the Rio Olympics 2016, which commence in just over a week.  Joe has been training in Rio on the newly constructed purpose built course and in recent interviews Joe has said how much the support of the club has spurred him on in the preparation for the games.

Stafford & Stone Canoe Club (S&SCC) members, particularly junior paddlers have signed their personal messages on the banner for Joe, which was put up on the club building along with some Union Jack bunting.

The club is very proud to be supporting Joe who began his paddling career as a young boy at the club.  Joe has worked very hard to get to this point in his career and we will all be cheering for him when he competes in Rio.  Some S&SCC members will be travelling out to Rio to support Joe.

Canoe Slalom Schedule
